XOGN
DJ – African Music | House | Soul | Dub
BIO
My musical culture oscillates somewhere between Brussels and Dakar. I spent 10 years in Senegal. There I ran a music store, co-organized the monthly “Koulgraoul” evenings and co-hosted radio shows. Little by little, African music became a real passion. Back in Belgium, I specialized in selling records and then in djing. Resident at Kiosk Radio since 2018, I love to do sets with various themes (tropical, local scene, cosmic, political…).
“XOGN” comes from Wolof (Senegalese language). This is what we call grilled rice. It means “bottom of the pot”… where my spicy records come from!
